About the Artist

Jessica Kaulback moved to Truckee, California from Washington, DC in 2013 seeking nature, a change of pace + a healthy environment. Quickly falling in love with the beauty, lifestyle + people of northern california, she made lake tahoe home to her young family. heartwood ink was created in celebration + honor of the vast beauty + complexity of this natural landscape, Taking relief printing to a fine art with high attention to the smallest details + finest lines found in wood grain.

All Original relief prints are prepared using multiple modalities including surfacing, carving, pyrogravure + wire brushing. Inked + intricately pressed on to 100% cotton rag, mould made paper, 300gsm. Signed + dated by the artist.  Presented in a handmade frame behind conservation-clear glass.
